Produced by Ananda Vikatan, the film was originally titled 'Sandhya, Mahesh Matrum Silar.' In the Shakti-Sandhya starrer, the title is already 'Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar,' so to avoid confusion, the film has been titled 'Sivan Manadhil Sakthi.'
There's a connection between the old and new titles. Below 'Sandhya, Mahesh Matrum Silar' they wanted to put a byline 'sms' in short. When they had to change the title, they still did not have the heart to change the byline sms.
So they broke their heads and came up with the title 'Sivan Manadhil Sakthi.'that also goes with 'sms.'
