Abhirami Ramanathan, the owner of Abhirami Theatres, has introduced many technical facilities seen for the first time in Asia.
A full stop has been made for standing perspiring in line and shoving each other for tickets. Do you know how? Anyone living in any corner of Chennai can reserve tickets by sending an SMS. There is no fee for that.
After the SMS, the ticket will be delivered wherever you want it to be delivered. Rs.20 will be collected for that. If you would like to collect it at the counter half an hour before the show also, it is no problem.
Apart from SMS, ticket can also be reserved via e-mail. The browsing charges for reservation for those within 6km of the theatre, is free. Through e-mail from home, you can find out what the crowd is like at the Abhirami Mega Mall and make your plans to visit accordingly.
Shortly, there will be 4 browsing centres at the Abhirami complex. Those who come to watch films can use these browsing centres free for half an hour.
The new technical facilities have come into effect from today. A function was held at the Abhirami complex. Nallammai Ramanathan lit the lamp to inaugurate the new facilities and Abhirami Ramanathan spoke to the press about the new developments. The workings of the new facilities were demonstrated by Nagaravi who works for a firm in Malaysia.
Film Chamber chief Srinivasan and Jaya TV managing director Muralidaran participated in the function.
