‘Goa’ is a celebration of youth!
Venkat Prabhu has given yet another romantic thriller. It is the story of three village youngsters who dream of falling in love with foreigners and marrying them and taking off to live abroad.
Samikannu (Premji Amaran), Vinayakan (Jai) and Ramarajan (Vaibhava) took off to Goa from their native village. There they get entangled in a rape case of a foreigner. The first half the film is full of comedy formula of Venkat Prabhu and the second half is the revelation of how they get out of the case.
The romantic interludes between Vaibhava and Sneha and Jay and Bajpai help move the story. Sneha’s character in the film is a wonderful creation. Yuvan’s background score and the songs are great strengths for the film. Shakthi Saravanan’s cinematography virtually transports the audience to Goa.
The guest artists in the film are a big surprise to the audience. Venkat’s Prabhau story telling is a beauty. There is no doubt that this first effort of Soundarya Rajinikanth will be favourite of the youth. If you can forget the logic, ‘Goa’ will be a feast.
