Theeradha vilayattu pillai = “comedy+ entertainment+playful and romantic child”

Action hero Vishal turns into a playboy in the film.  Always choosy, Vishal aims to choose the best among the options available as his wife.  So, he plans to choose 3 women, fall in love with them and select the best to be his wife.  Vishal’s non-stop playfulness leads to serious troubles and the playful entertaining story is how he escapes from them.

Joining a gang of mddle aged men like auto driver Santhanam, tea shop Mayilsami and traffic constable Sathyan he starts his romantic pursuit and hence the comedy express gains speed.

Neetu Chandra, a millionaire who had a love failure and looking for a suitable romantic pair, Tanusri Dutta who hates men, Sarah Jane, a middle class family  girl who wants to fallin love with some one and get married to him – they all find themselves in Vishal’s net.  When comedy mixes with glamour the film becomes colourful.

With men-hating Tanushri Dutta he acts as someone who hates women and gets close to her.  He wins over the millionaire Neetu Chandra by being a person who has a different kind of appreciation.    Asking for a chance to act as her romantic pair he turns into Sarah Jane’s lover.  Pursuing romance with three different kinds of women Vishal’s activities get cheered in the theatre.

Patting himself after every romantic success is Vishal’s unique mannerism.  We can see Vishal’s transformation when he claims that checking with at least four houses before selecting one to rent and later realizing that falling in love is not like renting a house.  He does action scenes with the same intensity.  Getting entangled with Tanushri’s grandfather’s brother Prakash Raj who is eager to introduce him to the whole town Vishal’s desperation draws non-stop laughter.

Vishal turns millionaire Neetu Chandra’s father against her by making him inform her about his romantic episodes just before the intermission and thereby director Thiru’s flag flutters high. Facing Neetu Chandra’s challenge to get married to either of the other two girls Vishal gets away by making wise moves.  When grandfather Prakashraj takes the sickle in his for having cheated his sister the latter half becomes a chasing game.

When the screenplay gets exciting with Vishal having to make the right decision director Thiru helps Vishal to choose the right partner in the right way.  Yuvan’s music and Aravind Krishna’s cinematography add value to ‘Theeradha vilattu pillai’. 

By narrating the story of a young man who takes love playfully and how he realizes its depth adding comedy, entertainment and glamour, ‘Theeradha vilayattu pillai’ is a commercial success.
