Vijay, Trisha

The story is that of a sparrow with the strength of a hawk, who comes to rescue bonded labour.

Winning the race with a junkyard car, one can imagine what other magic the hero will do.

Hero Vijay becomes a small time smuggler just to collect the money a big wig in Malaysia owed to his father.  Only after going there he realizes that the big wig (Suman) is capable of much more.

Going against the villain, the hero buys more trouble.  In the meantime, the villain's sister Trisha falls in love with Vijay (strange) not seen in any other film. Getting hold of the diamond from Suman, Vijay returns to Chennai only to learn that his father and his supporters are kept as bonded labour in Andhra Pradesh. The next shot shatters the town of Cudappah itself.

After defeating hundreds of goons, the successful hero releases the bonded labourers and we also get a breather.

Dharani deserves a big salute for having tied Koyembedu flower market around the viewers' ears just to make Vijay into a superman!

Is it a big deal for Vijay who holds the brake cable in his teeth that got cut to balance a speeding car to enter an electric train flying from a high rise building and also to save the falling Trisha holding on to a rope?

If the audience is foolish, the director would even team up with them to football with the moon.
Kamal Hassan had to do every other thing to smuggle the golden fish in 'Guru'.  If Dharani were the director, Kamal need not have undergone so many troubles.  How it took just ten minutes for Vijay to take hold of the diamond from the villain is something that Hollywood will have to learn.

Having taken the story to Cuduppah, the film sprays pungency in our eyes that start shedding tears.  Suman and his henchmen lose consciousness in fighting with Vijay. It is people like Vijay that the Indian army needs.

Vijay, Trisha

Trisha's midriff has been in continuous use starting from the catch in the hip to the song 'Mozhunnu yamma...".

After sending Suman into coma, the director wanted to fill up his place and sent Ashish Vidyarthi for a while.  Ashish Vidyarthi in the role of Konda Reddy has acted the same way as in other films.

Manivannan in the role of a cinema father is very confident that his son would somehow rescue him.

Vivek deserves appreciation in continuing to mimic various voices.  The character Cudappah Raju is the height of perversion.

It is sad to see Vidyasagar composing only dabbankuthu.  The consolation is just the song 'Thein, thein, thein...'  Having used every other equipment, Gopinath's cinematography deserves mentioning.

Udayanidhi's money has been wasted in the sets that have no relevance to the story.  That is why it is good to dedicate the song 'ponaal pogattum poda...' to the distributors.

How come the hero Vijay with such a huge fan following has not changed from the masala route?  Why don't you attempt to do something differently?

'Kuruvi' has lost its wings.

Wow... Buss...
