Vellithirai
The actor is in love with the actress. She marries the assistant director. A third person claims that the successful film's story is his and files a case. These things are happening in the cinema field every other day and the screenplay involves all these realities.
Prakashraj is adamant that he will only do the role of a hero and he approaches company after company for opportunities. Prithiviraj is the assistant director who is hopeful that one day he would become a director. Not finding anything favorable, Prakashraj chooses the crooked path.
Prakashraj steals Prithviraj's story and becomes a big hero. Prithviraj had been depending on his story to come up in his career and this now puts him in a terrible situation in his career. Now Prithviraj is put in the unenviable position of having to ask Prakashraj, who had once approached him for offers, to give him a chance now.
For those who do not know what happens behind the glamorous front of cinema, the screenplay of 'Vellithirai' in its realistic and easily understandable knots, makes it easy for the viewer to comprehend and thus elevates the film to a higher level.
Once he turns into an actor, Prakashraj runs riot. As soon as he turns hero, he changes his name. He gives TV interviews where he reels out blatant lies about himself. He does a great job in this transformation.
Carrying the cross of being the husband of an actress, when he learns about subduing of his own innate talents and fumes, Prithviraj has shown very natural acting without any artificiality. Even though she's a famous actress, she is the captive of her money greedy brother because of circumstances, and in many scenes, Gopika is impressive.
MS Bhaskar as Prakashraj's call sheet manager, Charlie as an assistant director and others who clash with each other, make the theatre explode with interest.
Director Viji's dialogues add to the film's depth. "Not only living together, but crying in separation is also love." "One can battle with love but one can't battle with poverty" are some examples of good dialogues.
The song "Kanji paanai mel inji oorukaai pola" composed by GV Prakash, will be a treat to kuthu song lovers. The background score by Sundar C Babu adds to the film's attraction.
'Vellithirai' should run for 100 days and more.
